MT2Trading Platform Errors

When using the MT2Trading Platform, you will encounter with different system errors which can stop trades from going through to your broker account/s. Some of this errors come from the MT2Trading platform itself and are related mainly to misconfigurations, and some others come directly from the broker that you are trading with.

Bellow you’ll find a list with the most frequent errors traders encounter while using MT2Trading platform, and a brief description of what they mean.

If the error you are receiving is coming directly from the broker you’re trying to trade at, please consider there is nothing we can do to change that, so the general recommendation would be to either change broker or try again at another time.

Error What does it mean
"Asset(s) is not available at the moment. Please try again later." This message is generated by and comes directly from your broker. There may be time block period(s) when the broker removes some symbol/pairs from being available to trade on. Make sure the asset and the expiry is available from your broker through their web platform. If you are using IQ Option, make sure the OTC and Digital Options features are disabled from your MT2 settings.
"Symbol XXXYYY is not available for trading" This message is generated by and comes directly from your broker. There may be time block period(s) when the broker removes some symbol/pairs from being available to trade on. Make sure the asset and the expiry is available from your broker through their web platform. If you are using IQ Option, make sure the OTC and Digital Options features are disable from your MT2 settings.
"Liquidity limit is reached. Broker does not accept trades at the moment." Brokers offer a limited amount of money and options for each expiration. Once these amounts are reached, they will not allow more people to enter the trade. After the HOT period passes, trades are closed and the broker's liquidity exposure limit reduces, your trades will start flowing again. All brokers will have exposure limits.
"There are no more available options for this expiration time" Brokers offer a limited amount of money and options for each expiration, once these amounts are reached, they will not allow more people to enter the trade. "Trading is not offered for this asset" There may be time block period(s) when the broker removes some symbol/pairs from being available to trade on.
"Trade request might have not reached the broker server, either due to a connection issue or network congestion." MT2Trading platform sends the request to broker server, but the platform does not know whether the trade was placed or not, mainly due to the broker not giving an answer back to MT2Trading platform.
"Daily StopLoss is reached. Trading is suspended until the end of the day. Adjust the settings to continue trading today." When it comes to risk management, you will see that top traders in the business use "StopLoss". This feature is also included in the MT2Trading platform, we strongly recommend you to always work under SL enabled, however, if you consider that SL is not functional for you anymore, you can lower it or make it higher, but do not disable it (highly recommended).
"Daily TakeProfit is reached. Trading is suspended until the end of the day. Adjust the settings to continue trading today."
"Trading amount exceeds the maximum limit according to your settings." Trading amount is higher than the limit stablished in the MT2Trading settings. You can either disable it or make it higher from the MT2Trading settings.
"Opened volume exceeds the maximum limit according to your settings." The total volume opened exceeds the maximum limit according to your settings. You can either disable it or make it higher from the MT2Trading settings.
"Payout of n% is lower than the minimum payout of 90%" This message appears when you have set a minimum payout on your MT2Trading platform settings and the platform did not enter the trade since the payout was lower than the minimum. You can either disable it or lower the minimum.
"Current time is beyond the limited trading hours range." You are trying to trade out of the trading hours range. You can either disable or modify this filter from the Trading Filters in your MT2Trading settings.
"Trading paused due to news event(s)" You are trying to trade during news release. You can either disable or modify this filter from the News feature.
"Limit of open trades per pair is reached" You have reached the maximum trades per pair. You can either disable or modify the maximum number of trades open per trade.
"Limit of all open trades is reached." You have reached the maximum trades in total. You can either disable or modify the maximum number of all open trades.
"Martingale cannot be applied because the previous trade has not expired yet (trade result unknown)" You have reached the maximum trades in total. You can either disable or modify the maximum number of all open trades. When you have set MG-OnNextSignal the MT2Trading platform will not be able to apply MG since the previous trade has not closed yet, which means the result is unknow
"Trading is turned off." In the lower left corner you have a switch button that allow you to turn you bot on/off. Make sure it is turned on (green) if you want to trade.
